Brief Description/Report
On 15th June 2025, the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Sikkim Manipal University had the honour of hosting Prof. (Dr.) G.K. Prabhu, Vice Chancellor (Designate), during his official visit to SMU. He was accompanied by the Director along with other officials of SMIT.
The dignitaries were received with a warm and cordial welcome by the Director, CDOE, along with the Deputy Director, Assistant Director, faculty members, and administrative staff of CDOE.
During the visit, the Director, CDOE presented a detailed briefing on the CDOE infrastructure, academic programmes, student support systems, and various ongoing initiatives, challenges, and future plans. Further, Prof. (Dr.) Prabhu interacted with the faculty members and visited both the Academic and Administrative Blocks of CDOE, taking note of the facilities and operations supporting the CDOE functioning.
The visit concluded with a formal vote of thanks extended to all present. Prof. (Dr.) G.K. Prabhu expressed his appreciation for the efforts being undertaken by CDOE and conveyed his intent to visit CDOE frequently. He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting and strengthening the vision and operations of CDOE.
