The Induction cum Orientation programme 2019 of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences was organised on 1st August 2019 in the auditorium of SMIMS, SMU. The newly admitted students of BA/MA/BCOM/MCOM programmes along with their parents and Faculties of the Department were present on the occasion. The programme was started with a welcome address by the Coordinator of the department, Mr M. Chhetri. Faculty members of the Department informed the house about the various aspects related to the Department such as examination and evaluation mechanism, attendance and discipline requirement, teacher-guardian scheme, CBCS pattern for undergraduate programmes and the achievements and initiatives of the department etc.
The representatives of the alumni and the students of the senior classes shared their feedback and suggestions during the programme. At the end, new students and parents also expressed their opinions and remarks during the occasion.
