The event was organised by Sikkim Manipal College of Physiotherapy (SMCPT) in collaboration with Student Research Forum (SRF). The resource person was Dr. Saumen Gupta, an Associate Professor at SMCPT and a dedicated researcher with extensive research contributions in paediatric neurorehabilitation, developmental disorders, geriatrics, and community-based rehabilitation.

The event was graced by the presence of eminent guests including the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr Muralidhar V. Pai, Sikkim Manipal University; Dr. Barkha Devi, Chairperson SRF; Prof. Nikita Joshi Sonowal, Principal SMCPT; faculty members from SMCPT, along with research scholars and students from various constituent units and departments of the university.

The session highlighted the importance of systematic literature searching, selecting appropriate databases, using keywords effectively, and refining search results for high quality evidence. The speaker provided practical insights into structuring search strategies, avoiding common errors, and improving the efficiency of research work. The seminar was well-received and helped students understand how to approach scientific literature with clarity and precision.
