This year, to honour World Down's Syndrome Day, SMCPT had the privilege of visiting a Special School for children with disabilities on 2nd April 2025 with 3rd year students and Principal Prof, Nikita Joshi Sonowal, Dr. Aksheta Thapa(PT) , Dr. Rahul Kumar Thakur (PT). Dr. Quemeen Gurung (PT).

As a professional dedicated to working with children with disabilities, the theme of this day deeply resonates with SMCPT -a call to strengthen and enhance the support systems that empower these incredible individuals.

With empathy at the core of our work, the students interacted with all the children with disabilities and strived to work tirelessly to create environments where Pwds can thrive and feel valued. Seeing the radiant smiles on the students' faces as they enthusiastically led this program was a testament to the impact of love, patience, and support.

The faculties discussed and developed future plans with the Principal of the special school for collaborative rehabilitation work and exchange of ideas.
