Anti-Ragging Week Celebration

The Department of Hospital Administration at Sikkim Manipal University observed Anti-Ragging Week with a special celebration aimed at promoting awareness and creating a safe, respectful environment for all students.

The program began with a welcome address by Ms. Priyanka Prasad, MHA 3rd Semester, who spoke on behalf of her classmates. This was followed by a video presentation on Anti-Ragging, highlighting the importance of maintaining a friendly campus atmosphere.

Ms. Rinchen Gensapa, Academic Coordinator, then addressed the gathering and emphasized the university’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and its commitment to student safety.

A skit performed by BHA 3rd Semester students creatively showcased the harmful effects of ragging and the value of positive peer interactions.

The event also included competitions for BHA 1st Semester students:

Speech Competition: Judged by Ms. Bandana Moktan, CNE, SMU and Ms. Breenila Targain, Head, Operations, CRH.
Winners:
First Position: Ms. Mantabya Chettri
Second Position: Bikram Tamang
Third Position: Ridh Pradhan

Poster-Making Competition: Students actively participated with creative entries on anti-ragging themes.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Stephanas Gurung, MHA 3rd Semester, who acknowledged the efforts of all participants and organizers.

The event successfully reinforced the university’s strong stance against ragging and encouraged a supportive campus culture.
