The National Cadet Coprs Unit of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) participated in a seven-day Adventure Course held at the NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MOUNTAINEERING AND ADVENTURE SPORTS (NIMAS) Aqua Excellence Centre, Bhalukpong, Arunachal Pradesh, from 4th to 10th October 2025. The program was funded by the office of Directorate General, National Cadet Corps, in collaboration with NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MOUNTAINEERING AND ADVENTURE SPORTS (NIMAS). A total of 100 cadets from the Assam, Odisha, and West Bengal & Sikkim Directorates took part in the camp, including two cadets from SMIT. Participants underwent practical training in rafting and trekking under the supervision of national-level instructors. The course focused on developing teamwork, leadership, endurance, and survival skills through challenging outdoor activities. The program provided an opportunity for cadets to experience professional adventure training in a controlled environment while fostering discipline and confidence.
