Event Description
The Legal Metrology Unit and Consumer Protection Cell, Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Sikkim, in collaboration with 24 Hours Inspired, organized a Consumer Awareness Quiz Competition on 21st August 2025. The event aimed to spread awareness among students about consumer rights, responsibilities, and protection laws.
The quiz witnessed active participation from students of 27 colleges across the state of Sikkim. The preliminary round was held remotely. Representing SMIT, two students—Mr. Madhav Kumar and Mr. Souvik Saha—enthusiastically took part in the competition. The event served as a platform to enhance knowledge about consumer-related issues and encouraged students to become responsible and informed consumers.
The program concluded with words of encouragement from the organizers, emphasizing the importance of consumer literacy in today’s economy.
