AIKYAM 2025
Celebrating Unity in Diversity
The Society of Management Studies (SMS), under the aegis of the Department of Management Studies, successfully organized AIKYAM 2025 on February 27, 2025, at the Amphitheatre, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT). The event was a grand celebration of India's rich cultural diversity, fostering a spirit of unity and inclusivity through various artistic and traditional performances.
Inauguration and Welcome Ceremony
The program commenced with the Diya Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment. The Vice Chancellor, SMU, Air Vice Marshal (Dr.) DC Agarwal, VSM (Retd.), and Director, SMIT, Professor (Dr.) G. L. Sharma, were warmly welcomed by the non-teaching staff, who sang traditional Nepali folk songs in their honor.
Dr. Bibeth Sharma, Head of the Department of Management Studies, delivered the welcome address, extending a warm reception to all distinguished guests and dignitaries. As a mark of respect and recognition, the honored guests were felicitated with traditional Nepali Topi, Badges, SMIT Khada, Mementos, Flower Pots, and Medals.
Additionally, two esteemed guests, Ms. Neelam Gurung and Mr. Dilu Sharma, were honored with citations, recognizing their outstanding contributions in their respective fields.
Cultural Extravaganza and Special Performances
Aligned with the theme "Unity in Diversity," the event served as a platform for various traditional and contemporary art forms from across the nation, showcasing India's rich cultural heritage. The evening featured special performances by renowned artists, including Sarangi players, Violinists, and Percussionists, who enthralled the audience with their captivating renditions.

    The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Bibeth Sharma, Head of the Department of Management Studies, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, student coordinators, and volunteers for their invaluable contributions.
