EVENT DESCRIPTION
On the morning of March 14th, 2025, the Student Council of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) organized a Holi Celebration, bringing students together for a day of color, music, and joy. The festivities began at 10:30 AM at the Football Ground, where students gathered in high spirits to celebrate the festival of colors with enthusiasm and camaraderie.
The event kicked off with students playing with gulal, filling the open ground with vibrant hues and festive cheer. Friends and peers smeared colors on each other, symbolizing love, unity, and the spirit of togetherness. The vast space of the football ground provided the perfect setting for unrestricted enjoyment, as students ran around, chasing each other with colors and laughter.
Adding to the energy of the celebration, a lively music playlist played throughout the event, featuring upbeat and festive songs that had everyone dancing freely. Students formed dance circles, jumping and swaying to the beats, fully immersing themselves in the carefree essence of Holi.
To keep the excitement going, light snacks were provided, allowing participants to take short breaks before rejoining the fun. The blend of colors, music, and food created a perfect festive atmosphere, where students could unwind, celebrate, and bond with their peers.
The Holi Celebration was more than just an event—it was a joyous gathering that strengthened friendships and fostered unity within the SMIT community. The festival left everyone with unforgettable memories, marking yet another successful and vibrant celebration on campus.
